All our stationary tanks are manufactured to AS1692 standards. Whether we are manufacturing overhead tanks, on-ground tanks, double-skin tanks, or containment bunds, at Mainline we value precision in everything we do. For farm installations (4ha plus) a containment bund will be required if you need to protect a nearby waterway or have a tank capacity greater than 2000L. Some assembly is required when the tank arrives on your property. All legs, ladders and stays are hot dip galvanised for a quality finish. This is followed by a two-pack epoxy undercoat and top coat. A zinc primer is applied to provide superior protection to the raw steel. Made from 3mm mild steel, our Mainline tanks are pressure tested and sandblasted. They can also be split into volumes of petrol and diesel that suit your intended usage. We will have a selection of brand new, fully-compliant fuel tanks for you to view at our Mainline site G70. The short answer is, you need to begin the process of updating your farm fuel tank and you can start by visiting us at Fieldays. So, what do these standards mean for you if you’re currently storing fuel in tripod tanks? This initiative is supported by WorkSafe.
